Something you can easily attach to your daypack. This comes in handy when going to different camps that offer drinks and/or at meal times, a small cheap bowl and spoon are great too for when people from other camps in and around the playa wish to feed you!
      Camelback

Should fit in a good pack of some sort (backpack or fanny pack) to carry your essentials. You MUST have this. The desert is very dry and you have to drink water all the time. If you’re thirsty you are already dehydrated!!!

High SPF, like 40 and up for your face and body. You must apply everyday. I used the spray last year and found it easy, but do what’s easiest/best for you just make sure it’s HIGH.

The playa is extremely basic and the acidity of the vinegar neutralizes and surprisingly feels really good! Especially on feet. You can get a bottle at the Dollar Store. San Fran is a great city, but some things aren’t very accessible so get things like this beforehand if you have space and time.

Although the camp does provide food and some snacks, it’s always nice to have stuff that you crave, especially if/when you get the munchies. Ex. I brought beef jerky and candy last year cause I have a bad sweet tooth.

      Funky Leg Warmers

        • 4.6 (291)
Wire, Xmas lights, basically anything that runs on batteries for your nighttime attire is a must! It’s very dark in the desert and it’s important you bring some form of light to make you visible to cyclists and art cars. This is SO important for safety! Sew on clothes before hand so it doesn’t bug you and hang down all the time.
